Easter Pop Up a Great Success

No wet weekend for the Pop Up Gallery!

Archiimps Easter Bank Holiday Pop Up Gallery held at the Hopmarket this weekend was a great success and was well attended by fellow artists, art lovers, locals and visitors. Despite the wet weather they came to browse the work on display, talk to the artists and many purchases were made.

The event had offerings of all price ranges and pockets from £2.50 cards to £420.00 original works. Greeting cards, prints of all sizes, canvases and originals were all on sale for the four days of Easter in a great location between Foregate Street Station and the City Center.

Hopmarket ArtistsArtists exhibiting at this event were (pictured from left to right): Mercedes Pearson, Jadu Sheridan Art, Jilly Oxlade-Arnott of Architectural Impressions and Antony Pearson of Dank Spangle.

Comments from the Artists:

A huge thank you to Jilly for inviting me to exhibit my photographs at her pop up gallery over the Easter weekend. Jilly did an amazing job of arranging and promoting the gallery. It was great to share time with the other exhibitors and to talk to visitors about my work. The cherry on the cake, I sold pictures. Brilliant. – Dank Spangle, Photographer

This Pop Up Gallery has been a fantastic opportunity to show art in a central location in the City. Jilly has advertised really well on social media and via posters and it has been lovely meeting so many people and to talk about Art. It has also been really nice to meet the other artists and to pick up tips form them. A really good few days!! – Jadu Sheridan, Artist

The Pop up Art exhibition has been a brilliant opportunity to showcase my artwork. It has been advertised in a number of ways by Jilly and we have had many people viewing our work. It is a fabulous space and lends itself really well to this sort of event. I have enjoyed working with the artists involved and would love to do this again. – Mercedes Pearson, Artist/ Designer

What a fabulous weekend! Really nice to talk to people about my passion for art and architecture, in such a great space, surrounded by a wide variety of works by some lovely local artists. Wonderful to see lots of people coming in to support us and buying things too. I hope this has helped the artists in preparations for other similar events and Worcester Open Studios later in the year. A big thank you to all who visited and those who made this event possible. Jilly Oxlade-Arnott, Architectural Artist
