May Pop Up Gallery Review

May Pop Up Artists

Despite the closure of Foregate Street Station, the bypass bridge works and unpredictable weather, which led to some people avoiding Worcester City Center over the May Bank Holiday weekend, many turned out and dropped in to see and purchase work on display.

Fellow artists visited the gallery supporting the exhibition, along with collectors, existing and new customers. Many sales were made.

The newer artists learnt a lot from the experience, in areas such as artwork labeling, pricing, display techniques and gained confidence and experience with public interactions. Awareness of their art has been increased and all are confident that additional future sales will be forthcoming as a result of this event.

The public enjoyed the varied works on display from intricate paper art, watercolour, photography to aboriginal art, with pricing range from a few pounds to a few hundred.

Mandy commented ‘Thanks very much to Jilly for arranging the bank holiday Pop up Gallery. I enjoyed every moment of it… Spoke to lots of lovely people that walked through the door – and lots that were really interested in my style of painting!  Always appreciate any helpful comments (good or bad!!!) Working with Jilly, Edyta and Charlotte was great fun – time flew far to quickly!’

Artists: Jilly Oxlade-Arnott of Architectural Impressions, Mandy Clifford of MC Canvasses, Edyta Linert Photography & Charlotte Breakwell of Paper Ink Alche
