Art on the walls of The Old Pheasant
The Old Pheasant in New Street had a change of ownership in 2017 and underwent quite a transformation, restoring the building to its former glory and highlighting its architectural heritage.
Business Partner at The Old Pheasant, Sue Patey, already a fan of Jillys work, wanted artwork that would complement the building and display some of Worcesters many historic treasures.
Sue Commented “When we took over the Pheasant we gave the place a thorough refresh and we wanted some artwork to show that was sympathetic to our ancient building but also was representational of the beautiful architecture that Worcester has in abundance.”
“Jilly’s work is perfect and we now have six painting for our guests to enjoy whilst dining.”
There are currently six artworks on show throughout the public house; Worcester Cathedral, The Commandery, Queen Elizabeth House, Friar Street, New Street and the famous Lea & Perrins factory.
All these artworks are available for sale.
