Jack Collects a Memento
J.M Prichard was a well known and respected jewellers situated for many years on the Foregate opposite Berkeley Court Hospital and Almshouses, now the building has been taken over by Hopmarket Flowers and his signage has been painted over.
Retired Jack Prichard, former owner of Prichard’s, saw and purchased a card of his old shop while visiting the Worcester City Art Gallery Museum. He then contacted Jilly to purchase a larger print, as a memento of his beloved shop to accompany his other treasures he has pictured on the wall of his home.
Jack said, “I saw the card and said to myself ‘wow’, that’s my old place, it looks great! I must get a copy for home”.
“Thank you Jilly for such a wonderful picture and thank you for painting it just as I remember it, but it is nice know Hopmarket Flowers are using it as a shop again. I have just the place for it.” Jack commented.
